Full Membership

• What is it?

We meet every Tuesday for classes, and full members receive access to our event calendar to sign up for field trips and parties. NWILC is a true cooperative, meaning this wonderful group is a result of each and every parent and their contributions to making it happen for our children. A parent is required to stay and either teach a class or assist in two classes. Our classes run from 9am-12pm, with an optional lunch, recess, and afternoon class that runs until 2pm. • What are the costs?

The enrollment costs for a full membership is $125.00 for your entire family. The cost for classes will depend on which classes you choose for your children. We do offer payment plans for those who need it. 

The enrollment costs cover our necessary expenses, like rent and insurance. Class costs are determined by each teacher and applied directly to the class. NWILC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit. 

• When and where are classes?

Fall semester runs from September-November, Spring semester runs from February-April,  and we have an optional (free) outdoor May class for all tuesdays in May. Our Fall & Spring classes take place at Real Life Community Church in Portage, In. Our May classes take place at multiple outdoor areas around NWI. 
*Even though we rent classroom space from the church, we are a secular group. 

• Does this include trips as well?

Yes! All full memberships include access to our calendar to sign up for field trips and events. Field trips and events may have an additional cost depending on the event. We do receive group/school rates for many field trips and most events and parties have no additional cost. (Note: Most parties are potluck style, so plan on bringing a dish!)

Associate Membership

• What is it?

Associate members receive access to our calendar for field trips and events. If you are looking just for socialization options and your family does not want to attend classes on Tuesdays, this is the option for you!

• What does it cost?

Cost for associate members is $50/semester. Field trips and events may have an additional cost depending on the event. We do receive group/school rates for many field trips and most events and parties have no additional cost. (Note: Most parties are potluck style, so plan on bringing a dish!)

• Communication

Our group exclusively communicates through the Whatsapp app. You will need to download this app if you do not already have it, and you will be responsible for keeping up on messages.
